I had a lot fun this month! With the theme of illusion I wanted to try and flex my photoshop skills in a way I have not done before. Originally I wanted to do some special effects that strictly involved water or fire. Then as the month progressed I started to get the idea of having my kids (and a friend's kid) act like they had supper powers. This lead to the series below where you will find invisible boy, fire boy, water boy and lightning boy. The great thing about this month is that through my research I have so many new ideas that I can't wait to try out.

March theme
The theme for March is "Illusions". This is a broad topic that should be a lot of fun and bring out your creativity.
Good Luck,

Balance
Okay, so I chose the theme without having anything in mind, and had a hard time coming up with concepts. The two I came up with represent balance in several different ways. The first shot represents balance in a literal way, with my old dried up contacts balanced in a tower. I just had Lasik done this month, so this is me having fun with the remnants. I also tried to balance the composition with the contacts on the right in the foreground with the glasses on the trashcan on the left in the background.

The other idea I had was to represent the concept of work/life balance.

Balance
My first shot is the great game of balance: Jenga.

This next one is my three year old nephew walking on ice for the first time ever. His arms helped him keep his balance during our walk.

And finally, I believe we all have a place where we retreat when our world is demanding different pieces of us all at once. We seek the serenity of this place and when life feels like it's too much to handle, we run to it.
This is the place where I find inner balance.
